    Currículum breve:

Javier Martín Sánchez holds a "Ramón y Cajal" grant for senior researchers in the group of "Quantum Nano-optics" at the Department of Physics of the University of Oviedo (Spain). He obtained his PhD degree at the Microelectronic Institute of Madrid (IMM-CSIC) and Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) in the field of quantum confined semiconductor nanostructures for quantum photonic applications. He has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Paul-Drude-Institut PDI (Germany), University of Minho (Portugal), Institute of Optics of Madrid IO-CSIC (Spain) and Johannes Kepler University JKU (Austria). Since 2017, he is working at the University of Oviedo where his main research line is focused on: i) strain fields effects on the optical properties of quantum confined nanostructures and nanomaterials; ii) optical studies quantum emitters in two-dimensional materials by micro-photoluminescence and optical near-field techniques.

Detailed information on his research publications can be found here.
